I've several times mentioned not paying anyone so you might be wondering what I'm talking about when I say "Workmen's Compensation insurance." Bureaucracy knows no logic. If people are doing work for you then you must be an employer and don't give us any fancy talk about "independent contractors." I suppose that in the strictest legal sense Blackie and I were the employees of David Black Productions whether we were paying ourselves or not. In any event there are places where they won't let your crew in the door until you can prove that you have this covered.
