49. CONTINUED:
PROFESSOR PARKER'S VOICE: (O.S.)
And, that was about it until you got here.
Bob crosses to group as CAMERA PULLS BACK TO FULL SHOT.
BOB:
Okay, what's the mystery? What happened?
PROFESSOR PARKER:
I was just telling Jeff how a man in a black hood
attacked me and stole the plans for the control cell,
plus the cell that I was using for a demonstration.
BOB:
Oh, no. That does it. A perfect day. I don't suppose
you recognized anything about him?
PROFESSOR PARKER:
I'm afraid not, Bob. Sorry. But, here's something that
may help. One of the transistors in the cell burned out
when my tube blew earlier. The Raven's men won't have a
replacement.
BOB:
Hey, that's right. Those transistors were special
ordered. I'll leave instructions that they not be
released to anyone except one of us.
JEFF:
Say, what about Landers? How'd you make out?
BOB:
He may or may not have been our man. He gave me a story
about one of the other members suggesting that he go out
there.
JOAN:
Which one?
