 5.   CONTINUED:

           JOAN:

           Noland.  He's in that other room.

      They turn in the O.S. direction in which she points, and exit.

 6.   COVER CUT FOR ABOVE ACTION

 7.   INT. BARCROFT CHEMICAL COMPANY:  MEDIUM FULL
      On door to presumed office.  The Copperhead reaches the doorway
      first and looks in quickly, turning back to Jeff and Joan.

           THE COPPERHEAD:

           He's not in there now.  You'd better get back and tell
           Bob what's been happening.  I'll radio him that you're
           on your way.

      The Copperhead exits quickly in the direction of the front
      door.

DISSOLVE TO:

 8.   EXT. PEARL-ELM GARAGE:  LONG FULL
      Bob's car #3 pulls in and parks in its usual place.  The
      Copperhead gets out and runs to doorway connecting with
      building.  He carries coat and tie with him.

 9.   EXT. PEARL-ELM GARAGE:  CLOSE FULL
      On The Copperhead as he reaches the door, opens it and looks
      back as SOUND of car approaching COMES OVER.  He reacts, and
      continues through, door closing after him.

10.   EXT. PEARL-ELM GARAGE:  LONG MEDIUM
      Jeff's car #12 and Joan's car #1 pull in and stop.  They get
      out and they both walk to the elevator, CAMERA PANNING WITH
      THEM.

DISSOLVE TO:

11.   INT. COMMITTEE BUILDING (UPPER LOBBY):  LONG MEDIUM
      The elevator doors open.  Joan and Jeff step out and walk O.S.

12.   INT. WAYNE'S OFFICE:  MEDIUM CLOSE
      Bob is straightening his tie as he HEARS footsteps in the
      corridor.  He sits at the desk and quickly drops the hood into
      the desk drawer.  REPEAT OF EP. 11  SCENE 11.
