DISSOLVE TO:

51.   EXT. 50 FRANKLIN STREET:  CLOSE FULL  (NIGHT)
      Facing street at corner of T & G parking lot.  The Copperhead
      appears from behind corner and looks up at O.S. three N.D.s on
      roof.  For a LATER CUT he silently runs to and past CAMERA.

52.   EXT. 50 FRANKLIN STREET:  LONG FULL  (UP ANGLE)  (NIGHT)
      On the three heavies lying in wait on the roof landing.

53.   EXT. 50 FRANKLIN STREET:  LONG FULL  (NIGHT)
      Shooting straight in from street to T & G parking lot.  The
      Copperhead runs in from behind CAMERA, down the alley and stops
      below a balanced ladder fire escape.  He leaps up and grabs it,
      bringing it down silently, then starts up to the roof landing.

54.   COVER CUT FOR ABOVE ACTION

55.   EXT. 50 FRANKLIN STREET:  CLOSE FULL  (NIGHT)
      P.O.V. roof landing edge.  On The Copperhead as he appears over
      the edge.  Then, after looking about, he exits.

56.   EXT. 50 FRANKLIN STREET:  LONG FULL  (NIGHT)  (PAN POSITION)
      Shooting from Bancroft Building.  The Copperhead reaches the
      top of the ladder stairs and runs to cover of elevator housing.

57.   EXT. 50 FRANKLIN STREET:  LONG FULL  (NIGHT)
      In this sequence The Copperhead manages to quietly, commando
      style, attack and subdue all three heavies.  USING A MATCHING
      FIGHT TRACK he is to finally get fired at by Mike while he is
      on the first level of the fire escapes, after knocking one
      heavy to his death.  He returns the fire, killing Mike.  The
      third heavy is alerted and fires at him as he nears the top of
      the fire escape.  He again returns the fire, killing the last
      heavy.

thru) COVER CUTS TO MATCH FIGHT AND CHASE SEQUENCE ABOVE

71.   EXT. 50 FRANKLIN STREET:  MEDIUM CLOSE  (NIGHT)
      On the top floor fire escape shooting parallel with hotel wall.
      The Copperhead reaches the top landing, looks down a second,
      then turns to the open window and stops short, reacting with
      surprise and alarm.

72.   EXT. 50 FRANKLIN STREET:  CLOSE   (NIGHT)
      On The Copperhead's face as he reacts to what he sees inside
      the apartment.
