39. CONTINUED:
BOB: (taking the chest from Parker)
Thanks, Professor. Jeff, see him home, will you?
I'm going to the office and look this over. I'll
expect to see you and Joan in the office first thing
in the morning.
JEFF: (as Bob walks out of scene)
We'll be there.
40. COVER CUT FOR ABOVE
DISSOLVE TO:
41. INT. WAYNE'S OFFICE: LONG FULL (ESTABLISHING SHOT)
Shooting from across the desk in F.G. to door in B.G., we
see Bob enter through door and walk to desk, placing the
chest on it and sitting down.
42. INT. WAYNE'S OFFICE: CLOSE FULL
Bob sits at his desk, opens the chest and removes a hood,
reacting appropriately to everything he finds. The hood
is made of copper mesh. He also removes a letter and opens
it. For a LATER CUT, after reading the letter, he puts it
down and then removes a small coiled copper snake from the
chest. This he also places on the desk as he again picks
up the hood, studying it and thinking. Also on the desk is
a photo of his father. The phone rings and he answers it.
BOB:
Hello. Oh, yes, Professor. How are you feeling?
PROFESSOR PARKER:
Oh, I'm fine, Bob. I'm tougher than I look. I was
wondering if you found any clues in that chest
pointing to The Raven's activities.
BOB:
No, I'm afraid not, Professor. It was something
personal. (He hesitates slightly) Professor, I don't
know if that incident today had anything to do with
The Raven's gang or not, but your remote control
device sounds like something that would tempt him.
