                                                    #1001 EP. 1-17.

 77. CONTINUED:

            PROFESSOR PARKER:

Yes, they got the plans for a negatronic-wave device
that I call the Seismotron, which could be a
dangerous weapon in the wrong hands. But, how did
you happen to get here at just the right moment?

            THE COPPERHEAD:

I've been following the activities of these
criminals for some time. I suspected another
attempt might be made on the control cell plans
            and was watching for it.

            JOAN:

            But, who are you?

            THE COPPERHEAD:

Because I will not be bound by legal methods I must
remain unknown. (To Parker) What about the plans
for the Seismotron? Isn't this critical?

            PROFESSOR PARKER:

There's no need for alarm yet. The plans they took
are only a rough draft and far from complete.

            THE COPPERHEAD:

Then I'll be going now. You can call the police to
            follow up on this.

Before he can be asked any further questions The
Copperhead exits through the doorway, leaving Joan and
       Parker wondering.
