                                                    #1001 EP. 15-3.

FADE OUT:

FADE IN:

12. INT. WAYNE'S OFFICE: CLOSE FULL
Bob is seated at his desk, holding and reading a letter. He
finishes and, thoughtfully, he folds it, placing it into his
inside pocket. After a short pause, he dials the telephone.

           BOB: (into telephone)

Joan. How are you coming with that gizmo of yours?
           Great, I'll be right over.

He hangs up and starts out of scene.

13. INSERT: CLOSE
On letter in Bob's hands, which reads:

           Bob:

I heard Joan's call, just after finding your hood in the
desk drawer. Why didn't you tell me you were The
Copperhead? I could have filled in for you at times.
Well, this is my turn to play hero. Don't worry, your
           secret is safe with me.

           Jeff

DISSOLVE TO:

14. INT. PARKER'S LAB: MEDIUM FULL
Bob is listening to Joan, who is explaining the operation of
      her device.

           JOAN:

Fortunately, Dad completed these plans. It was simple
To convert an ordinary range finder. Now, when the
Seismotron is turned on, it takes time to warm up, as
you know. All this time, the radium vapor tube is
throwing off impulses through the directional cone.
Those impulses will register here within a radius of
           ten miles.

           BOB:

Well, we know The Raven's headquarters is within that
distance. Now, if only he sets it up there. But, we
           can't be sure.
