                                                    #1001 EP. 15-9.

34. CONTINUED:

           JOAN:

It's coming from that direction, alright. But, there's
no road going that way for nearly a mile.

           BOB:

I remember this spot now. The first time I chased Corey
and Greg they disappeared right around here. There must
be a hidden road behind these bushes somewhere. We'd
better circle them, and go in on foot. If we trip their
hidden entrance it may give a signal.

Bob pulls the car over and stops. They open doors and get out.

35. EXT. UNDETERMINED ROAD #1: LONG FULL
Bob's car #3 enters scene and pulls to a stop. For a LATER CUT
Bob and Joan get out and look around the bushes. Joan carries
      the detector.

36. EXT. BANCROFT TOWER: LONG FULL
Two N.D. heavies are standing guard at the entrance on the two
gun mounts. Another is stationed at the entrance to the tower.

37. EXT. BUSHES NEAR TOWER: MEDIUM FULL
Bob and Joan step from behind the bushes. Joan holds detector.
They stop and look O.S. Bob reaches into his jacket pocket,
removing Jeff's note. He pauses a moment, then hands it to
      her.

           BOB:

Joan. Before we get into this, you'd better read this.

She takes the note and reads it. As she finishes she looks up
      at The Copperhead.

           JOAN:

Bob. I suppose I should have known.

           THE COPPERHEAD:

I'll explain it all later, Joan. If we get out of this.

He and Joan walk cautiously out of scene, to and past CAMERA.
