24.   CONTINUED:

           CLERK:

           Hello, Miss Parker.  Something I can get you?

           JOAN:

           Yes.  We blew a Z-3 transformer tube.  Have you got one?

           CLERK:

           Oh yes.  I'll get it.  And how's the Professor?

           JOAN:

           Just fine, thanks.

      FOR A LATER CUT the clerk hands her the package and sales slip.

           CLERK:

           Here you are.  And let me know if your Dad needs any
           special orders.

           JOAN:

           I will, and thanks.

      Joan walks out of scene.

25.   EXT. FOSTER STREET:  LONG CLOSE
      Joan comes out of store and Corey steps up to her from a
      doorway nearby.

           COREY:

           Hold it, Miss Parker. Your car is this way.

      Joan reacts with surprise, then, realizing the futility of the
      situation, walks with Corey to the heavies’ car #2, CAMERA
      PANNING.  She gets in the back.

26.   EXT. FOSTER STREET:  CLOSE FULL
      Jeff glances toward O.S. store, and reacts as he sees above
      action.  FOR A LATER CUT he ducks down as SHOTS COME OVER,
      and a final CUT has him sit back up, look around quickly,
      and start the car.
