                                                     #1001  EP. 3-8.

27.   EXT. FOSTER STREET:  MEDIUM CLOSE
      Corey forces Joan to get into the back of the car and, as he
      gets in beside her, he orders Greg:

           COREY:

           Turn around and go right by him.  He won't shoot with the
           broad here, and maybe I can pick 'im off as we go by.

      Corey closes the door, rolling down the window and drawing his
      gun as they start out of scene.

28.   EXT. FOSTER STREET:  LONG FULL
      (FROM MAIN STREET, RIGHT SIDE OF FOSTER STREET)
      The heavies' car #2 swings around from right and roars past
      Jeff's car #1, tearing down Waldo Street as Corey fires at
      Jeff from the rear window.  FOR A LATER CUT Jeff's car tears
      out after them.

29.   COVER CUT (PAN SHOT) OF COREY FIRING FROM REAR WINDOW OF CAR,
      TOWARD CAMERA.

30.   EXT. CHASE SEQUENCE (WALDO STREET):  LONG FULL
      CAMERA STATIONED IN POLICE PARKING LOT.
      CAMERA PANS heavies' car #2 as it roars through left to right
      and PANS BACK to run thru with Jeff's car #1.

31.   EXT. CHASE SEQUENCE (EXCHANGE STREET):  LONG FULL
      CAMERA STATIONED AT TAVERN, FACING COMMERCIAL STREET.
      Heavies' car #1, followed by Jeff's car #1, turns corner and
      roars to B.G.

32. )
thru) RUN THRUS OF CHASE.  VARIOUS LOCATIONS.  ENDING ON CENTRAL ST.
38. )

39.   INT. HEAVIES' CAR #2:  CLOSE FULL  (PROCESS)
      Greg is driving while Corey keeps Joan covered in the back.
      Both heavies glance back at Jeff's car #1, following. Greg
      uses mirror. HOLD FOR CUTS.

           GREG:

           He's gaining on us. We can't outrun him in this traffic.

           COREY:

           There's a freight train headed to cross Central Street.
           Cut off down there, and time it so you beat the train.
           That should hold 'im.
