BOB:
Okay. I'll step on it.
Bob hangs up and runs out of scene.
50. EXT. PHONE BOOTH #1: CLOSE
Jeff on phone to cover his end of INTERCUT conversation.
DISSOLVE TO:
51. INT. HEAVIES' APARTMENT: MEDIUM FULL
Joan is tied in a chair and an N.D. is with Corey and Greg.
The N.D. is wearing a white shirt. This ESTABLISHING shot of
the apartment shows it to be a fairly large room with at least
one window. A table is against the wall opposite Joan's chair
and on it is a skin-diver's spear gun, the C02 type. Connected
to it with wires is a timer.
COREY:
Now, Miss Parker, you're goin' to call your father
and tell him to bring the plans for his remote
control cell here.
JOAN:
You must be kidding.
COREY:
I thought you'd give us trouble, so I arranged for
something special to help you change your mind.
CAMERA PANS Corey over to the spear gun with timer on the
table.
52. INT. HEAVIES' APARTMENT: MEDIUM CLOSE
On Corey standing beside the table FACING CAMERA. He stands
next to the spear gun with his hand on the timer button.
COREY:
I'm sure I don't have to explain the set-up to a clever
kid like you. Once I start this timer you'll have about
two minutes to change your mind. If you don't... well,
you get the point. Want to change your mind now, or do
we do it the hard way?
